Pregnancy Stats
I'm sorry I'm a stinker about updating this blog. I'll try to be better at it. ;)
Let me start off by saying that this pregnancy is SO DIFFERENT from the first two.. first off, we tried for this one. Both the boys were little miracles that we weren't expecting! Bryce was about six months old when I got pregnant with Britton.. talk about a shocker! I was excited but overwhelmed at the same time.
This time I was able to have the "baby fever" before the baby! For the first time in my life, I experienced the longing and desire to have a child. With my boys, I got the baby before the fever! Hah!!
This pregnancy has been so awesome I just cannot complain. Totally opposite from the others. Be advised: I am not reading into this when it comes to the sex of the baby... I know all pregnancies can be different. I'm not thinking one way or another. We'll see!
I've had some pretty bad nausea but no throwing up! That in itself is a big hairy deal considering with my boys I threw up so much I couldn't even keep water down. I figured out that if I take my hormone and my pre natal vitamin at night, right as I'm going to bed, I don't have any nausea! My sweet friend Annie made that suggestion to me. Good one Sista!
The only major complaint I have is that I'm SO TIRED and I also have some pretty uncomfortable belly issues for most of the day. I don't know how to explain it.. it's like a gassy feeling.. my entire belly gets bloated and tight and it feels like all my food is up right under my throat and it's the worst feeling. Even when I eat a tiny bit it feels like it's pushing up and is very uncomfortable. Anyone have any similar issue and can give me some advice?? I've tried Pepto, Gas X... not sure exactly what the issue is.
I am eager to hit 12 weeks and to say Adios to this tiredness. It's pretty bad. It's funny how after you have the baby, you forget all you went thru.. guess that's God's way of getting you to have more than one! I had some major Mommy Guilt today and actually cried because I feel like for the past 6 weeks, I haven't done anything fun with my boys because I am so worn out. My poor husband has done the majority of the cleaning, laundry and taking care of the kiddos.. he rocks. I can't brag on him enough. I just hate that I'm too tired to go outside with them or to the park.. I seriously lay on the couch most of the day and watch them play. Daddy comes home and always takes them outside or plays with them. I usually have a little energy after I take a nap but it fades quickly.. I can take a shower and dry my hair and by the time I'm done I am so ready to go to sleep.
I'm very thankful this pregnancy has been much better (so far) than the others at this point.. and I'm thankful the baby is healthy! We're tossing back and fourth boy and girl names..
Bryce still says it's a "sister." Both my nieces say the same thing. I actually saw my grandmother this weekend and she didn't have a clue I was pregnant (she also cannot see so my expanding waistline wasn't a hint). She asked me if I was pregnant.. I thought, "How strange!" I told her I was and she giggled and said, "You know, I was just laying in bed the other night thinking that it was time for you to have a little girl." That was very emotional for me. Not because she said girl, but mostly because she was so excited and had a "feeling" that I was pregnant. It was a very sweet moment that I won't forget. She also gave me a girl name that she wants me to use.. it's a family name. I asked her to also give me a boy name just in case!
Anyhow, that's all the pregnancy stats for now! I'm 8 weeks and 3 days.. can't wait to meet our little one! We're going back and fourth with whether or not we want to know the sex of the baby.. I think not knowing would be a fun surprise! Daddy doesn't love the idea.. he says he has to know. We'll see who wins this war!

And here we go...
So, what have I been up to you ask? Let's see if I can fill you in!
First off, Daddy graduated from college!! We went to his grad ceramony last weekend and we are so proud of him!! It's been a long hard road for him and we are so proud that he is finally finished! Way to go Daddy! We love you!
Ok.. so.. hmm.. what else is new??
OH! Did I mention that Britton (our youngest) is going ot be a BIG BROTHER???? Oh yes he is..he even has the t-shirt to prove it by golly!
So wait, if Britton is going to be a big brother then that must mean..............................................................................
YEP!! We're pregnant!! We are so excited!! Daddy is excited about Baby #3!!
We are elated with joy and can't wait to meet the newest memeber! I found out on April 24th that we were pregnant...we decided to start trying the beginning of April and got it on the first shot!!
This pregnancy has been so different for me. I was so excited with my boys but you've got to understand that they were not planned..we weren't trying when I got pregnant with them. But they were the best darn tootin' surpise in the whole world! But this time, when I was taking that test, there was a whole different feeling.. I was so excited..so nervous. I cried and ran and told my husband when it showed up positive!
We've been to the doctor several times and all things look well! Yesterday we got to see the heartbeat! Baby is growing right on schedule! I am due the end of December..what an exciting Christmas gift!
Britt has no clue what is going on.. but surprisingly, Bryce totally understands! From the very first time I told him he said, "It's a Sister Mom." At first I thought nothing of it.. but almost every day since he's said something about this "sister." Even when I tell him that we don't know what it is, and it could be a baby brother..he says, "No Mom, we already have a little brother." LOL. It's hilarious but I'm starting to worry that IF it is a little brother is he going to have a meltdown??? Oh well.. can't worry about that right now! I'm sure either way, brother or sister, they will be excited!!
Well I've got to run for now.. more info on the pregnancy coming later! Gotta get gets to bed!

Thankful to be a Mother
Happy Mother's Day to all of my Mommy friends out there! What a blessing this day is! I love Mother's Day. Each year I look forward to it. I'm so thankful and blessed to be the mother of two perfectly precious, sweet little boys.
Today couldn't have been any more perfect. My sweet husband gave me the most beautiful flowers and told me I didn't have to change a single diaper until after midnight tonigh! Ha! Could there be a better gift? I think not!
My boys gave me a Mommy card that they tried to sign.. it was so sweet. Then my husband gave me two little boy head charms for my charm braclet! I was so excited.. I've been wanting those. I'm going to have their names and birthdays engraved on them. I'll cherish those charms for a lifetime.
I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed mother's day.

Bryce's Birthday Party!
Today is Bryce's birthday! I cannot believe that he is three years old. I know I keep saying that but seriously, where has the time gone?
You may notice that it seems on my blog that I do not say much about my kids. It's horrible of me but in all honesty, I never seem to have the words to express how much they mean to me. They bring me so much joy.. I love being their Mommy.
Here are just a few tid bits about Bryce:
~You are THREE!!
~You love Mickey Mouse
~You sing, "Jesus loves me" and it's the sweetest thing I've ever heard
~You say a blessing before you eat each meal. It goes something like this, "Thank you Jesus for food Amen!" Very cute.
~You love to dance. And you're quite good at it I might add. You get your "moves" from Daddy
~You love your brother very much. Before bedtime you always want to give Britton a hug, kiss and say prayers with him
~You know all of your ABC's and you can count to 10
~You hug Mommy at random moments of the day which blesses my heart
~I'm so proud to say that you say please, thank you, bless you and your welcome (and you even say excuse me after having a little gas). LOL
~You love church; each week you want to know what day is church
~You love to snuggle with Mommy every morning.. you run in our room and jump in our bed. It's my favorite part of the day!
Bryce, I could never put into words just what you mean to me. I love you and your brother more than life itself. You are so fun and always bring a smile to my face. I get so excited just thinking about these sweet young years, and so sad when I realize they are flying by so fast. With each phase of your life brings new moments for us to share as a family. Thank you Jesus for granting me the honor of being Bryce's Mom. May I always bring honor to that title.
Here are some pictures from Bryce's party! Enjoy!

I've been a bad blogger
I know I've been absent for weeks! I'm sorry! So much has been going on! I have so much to catch you up to speed on. My son got sick, then my husband had a deadly illness, then I got sick, then the swine flu surfaced and scared me to death... we had several birthday parties to attend, family members to go visit... At one point I was SO BEHIND on orders I thought I wasn't going to catch up and get them out on time!
Things are really good here. I hope you all are doing well!! I'm blessed and can't complain!
My little boy turns 3 on Friday! THREE! My heart aches even thinking about it. Where has the time gone? I must bragg on him because he is such a sweet and loving child. I'm so proud of both my boys. God has truly blessed me more than I deserve!
I have so many pictures to share with you!! I promise to catch you up to speed as soon as I have a free moment.
I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
Love and blessings,
Rachel
